Ceremonial Cacao
For lovers of ceremonial cacao, I have secured a supply of prized Peruvian criollo cacao from Machu Picu cacao growers.
This heritage stain of cacao makes for delicious drinking, prepared the traditional way.
Preparation: shaved 2 tablespoons from a cacao block
Add 250ml of water to a small pot, add cacao, chilli to taste, cinnamon and vanilla bean.
For vanilla , scrap a whole pod is best.
Bring your ceremonial preparation to a light simmer, do not boil.
Froth with a whisk till thick and smooth,
Pour into your ceremonial cup
